After a series of appearances by your’s truly on my favorite podcast, The Walking Dead’Cast, I, along with fellow listener and friend Grace, are collaborating on a new segment for the podcast called, Under the Comic Covers.
In this monthly (or bi-weekly) segment, Grace and I will discuss the current issues of The Walking Dead… not as they relate to the television series, Jason and Karen already have Jaden, another listener, covering that aspect of the comic… but instead, will delve into the world of The Walking Dead as they happen on the page.
If you are a fan of the television show and you don’t follow the comic, this segment will have no interest for you… but our hope is that there will be enough cross-over appeal to those that do that we will help to round out The Walking Dead’Cast as the place for all things Walking Dead beyond the AMC television series.
The timing for this endeavor could also not be better. Not only is this episode of The Walking Dead’Cast the first for the fourth season… not only are we doing this immediately before WalkerStalkerCon in Atlanta in a couple of weeks, which both Grace and I will be attending… but the latest issue of the comic begins a new story arc titled, All Out War… and as the title suggests, shit is going down for Rick and company, and Grace and I could not be happier to discuss each issue and share our thoughts with you, my readers… and you… the listeners of The Walking Dead’Cast.
The issue we cover in this episode is issue #115, which also happens to coincide with the 10th anniversary of the comic… and it’s a doozy. In our episode we go into our Top 3 moments from the current issue as well as giving our thoughts on tigers shitting in bathtubs and the proper way to pronounce the name Negan. How can you not be intrigued by that?
You can download the podcast here… or go to iTunes and download it here… or find The Walking Dead’Cast on Stitcher. There are many ways to listen… all you need to do is click. So dammit… click, and let Jason know what you think of the segment… or contact me via Twitter, Facebook, or email… or better yet, call into The Walking Dead’Cast (650-485-DEAD) and tell the world how great you think it was.
If you think it was crap… keep that to yourself. Thanks.
